Reaching the Forgotten - Outreach at the Lone Star Rally

As Michelle spoke with the scantly dressed young lady that manned the beer tent about Jesus, she soon began to realize that even in the middle of the Bible belt there are young people that have no idea who Jesus is. In our ever-changing culture and in the sub-culture of the motorcycle community, it is a reality.

The current condition of our youth and their lack of knowledge of the gospel is what compelled us to set up the prayer booth at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas where 500,000 plus people visited the venue on the island. The island was filled with motorcycle enthusiast, motorcycle clubs and vendors of all sorts. This event that brought thousands together is hosted every year in Galveston.

This year Harvest Reach took advantage of the crowds and partnered with Broken Clay Fellowship & American Serf Shop to sponsor a booth at the rally. We brought a team to evangelize at the event where we manned the booth and walked throughout the rally to minister to those that attended. We were able to pray for so many people and share Christ. It doesn’t matter how tough or mean someone looks on the outside, inside they are just “people” and many of them “hurting people” as well. Please join us in continuing to pray for the many seeds planted in into those we were able to minister to at the rally.
