As founder, Mark Mears’s foot touched the ground on Zambian soil a vision was birthed by the Holy Spirit for Harvest Reach in Africa. Like the fisherman who threw down their nets to follow Jesus, Mark and Sherry threw down their lives and became sojourners in their quest to walk in obedience to the Lord. A simple people with a simple quest to preach the gospel, plant churches and disciples nations.

Harvest Reach established their base in the city founded by the great missionary explorer David Livingstone, Livingstone, Zambia in 1993. With God’s favor through evangelism and church planting efforts they have spread across southern Africa like a wildfire.  Harvest Reach now has churches planted in Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia in both cities and villages.

Harvest Reach thrusts its focus on developing the indigenous peoples of each area to raise up local leaders to empower their own people to make disciples.

Harvest reach has established hundreds of churches throughout the southern region of Africa.  Our leaders were discipled and trained by Harvest Reach and most are native to the areas they serve.
