What is Happening in Southern Africa?
Botswana
Simon was able to resume an outreach in Francistown that began in August of this year but had to halt due to a disease outbreak there. He was able to minister to the local workers there in the town.
Simon and his wife were also able to reach out to the school children in Francistown by going in to the school and praying with the children. The kids there were grateful for the prayers as God was able to touch their hearts with His presence.

Thomas has a vision of bringing the truth of God’s word to every village that surrounds him. He and those with him take this task very seriously as it is a privilege provided by God to do so.
There is always a time of prayer prior to going out to any new place – praying that God prepares the way for those there to hear His word and accept His gift of salvation.
As they walk up to where the villagers are, Thomas (left) along with Shalom (right) use megaphones to preach so everyone is able to hear them.

Des is dedicated to serving the Lord and heads up a youth ministry called Unbound in the Cape Providence. Des’ heart is for the youth of the area. He holds youth camps and ministers to the surf community along the coastal area, directing them away from the rocks of destruction to the saving “white sand beach” of Christ.
Youth camp sponsors are needed for those kids that can not afford to come to camp but need to be ministered to. Contact us if you are interested in sponsoring a youth.
Zambia
The work in Zambia was first established in 1993 in the village of Nsongwe. Since that time, the approach to missions has not changed. Each area or village is paved with a foundation of prayer, then evangelized, then those that come to Christ are discipled and a church is planted.
In the town of Livingston and surrounding townships and villages (south part of Zambia) Yorum and his wife Doreen are a relentless force for winning souls. They are seeing mighty works of God as they go out to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yorum heads up the ministry for Harvest Reach in Zambia. He leads outreach into villages to the west, to the bushman and areas like Sichilli where they evangelize then raise up local leaders to oversea those village churches.
James heads up the Kabwe area (northern part of Zambia) with help from Joshua. They have established churches in the main town as well as the township areas. James has a special burden for the children of the area and “unofficially” adopted several street kids in the area. They also have a new church plant taking place in a rural farm area north of town. They have hopes of establishing discipleship houses at this location in the future.
Dragan overseas a multitude of churches sprinkled throughout the bush from Mukuni to villages where no driven roads or “western” vehicles have ventured before. Dragan is Harvest Reach’s apostle, and as such he visits all the planted churches throughout the area.
At Harvest Reach International, every donation we receive is distributed to our leaders in the field so they are able to follow God’s plan of using those resources; making sure that the gospel is preached and that widows and orphans are helped.
